Rosie Moorsom LTCL - Theory Class Lecturer
Rosie’s interest in music started when she joined a violin class organised by the CWYM's founder Don Riddell and taught by Hungarian violinist and teacher - Nicholas Roth.
She played the violin in the Wessex Youth Orchestra for six years and can still remember the terror as a new member when faced with Borodin’s Symphony no. 2 – in five sharps and very fast! Despite this, she has many happy memories of her time in the WYO.
Rosie went on to study at Trinity College of Music; winning prizes for unaccompanied Bach performances and violin and piano duos.
She now has a career as a performing and teaching violinist. She enjoys making theory fun and accessible for all of her young musicians, right from the start.
