Rosie Moorsom LTCL - Theory Class Lecturer
Rosie’s interest in music started when she joined a violin class organised by the CWYM's founder Don Riddell and taught by Hungarian violinist and professor - Nicholas Roth.
Continuing her studies with Nicholas Roth, she became a member of the Wessex Youth Orchestra and stayed for six years. (She still remembers the terror as a new member when faced with Borodin’s Symphony no. 2 – in five sharps and very fast! Despite this she has many happy memories of her time in the WYO).
Rosie went on to study violin at Trinity College of Music; winning prizes for unaccompanied Bach and chamber music performances.
Rosie has built a career as both a performing violinist and teacher. She has taught music theory at Wessex for many years, and enjoys making theory fun and accessible for all of her young musicians, right from the start.
